The Austin Chapter's very own Amanda Koplos will be speaking to us about creating a culturally competent law firm.  The goal of this presentation is to enhance our knowledge and skills to build and maintain a multicultural law firm and become positive change agents for our workplace. Amanda will ask us to reflect on our role as law firm leaders who are responsible for promoting inclusion and building successful and effective working relationships within our own organizations.

No matter where you and your firm are on the spectrum of making Diversity and Inclusion imperative in your business, you are bound to come away with at least a few tips and several excellent resources for use in your world. Join us to expand your knowledge on the topic and move your firm or department ahead on Diversity and Inclusion.

Amanda Koplos has been a member of the Association's Diversity and Inclusion Committee since April of 2017. Amanda held multiple positions on the Board before becoming Austin Chapter President in 2010. At the association level Amanda served on the 2008 Region 4/6 Conference Committee and the 2012 Annual Conference Committee.

Amanda is the Branch Office Manager for both the Dallas and Austin offices of Bowman and Brooke LLP. Prior to Bowman and Brooke Amanda was the firm administrator for a small Austin-based firm. With these two combined position she has 12 years' experience in the legal industry. Amanda received her MBA from St. Edward's University and has a BA in Communication from Texas State University. She is also a CPA and carries the designation of Certified Legal Manager (CLM).
